BEHIND THE WORK

Inspired by a prophetic word merged with the story of Peter walking on the water with Christ and the final deliverance of God's People from the bondage of Egypt by the splitting of the Red Sea.

This painting acts as a reflection on the experiences and inspiration that has made me the artist that I am today, drawing inspiration from textiles from various cultures as well as 20th century painters, my favorite being Marc Chagall.

This large painting is inspired by the theme of marriage and harmony. "How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity!" ~ Psalm 133:1 NIV

I've always have been intrigued by Christ's humility and gentleness. The all powerful, eternal God encased in flesh, experiencing every facet of life just as we do; the joys and the sorrows. 

God delights in fellowship, both with Him and with each other. This painting displays the invitation Jesus extends to us to commune with Him and celebrate life in community with each other..

It is difficult to remain faithful to the Lord in difficult and dark times. Discouragement and doubt creep into our hearts and our strength and joy is sapped. This painter has been a reminder of working diligently and worshiping the Lord even in those seasons.

The Father of Lights ablaze with glory; His arms welcoming us into His holy presence. Beneath the throne are extravagant angels full of eyes and on fire. A river courses from His Throne, blessing the land and people.
